Additional InformationCFA'sThe Continuous Flow Adapter adds to the innovations of Killion, Libby, and Janssen but is characterized by a single snap in and snap out tubing, which does not change it's diameter or crimp the tubing. The CFA system standardizes the sound bore, interior tube diameter is constant, dampers are not required to smooth frequency response, and the earmolds can be adapted and ground on without a change in earmold design or acoustic effects. Tube LocksDeveloped to secure tubing in soft earmolds when there is no glue available and as an alternative to friction fit tubing. Tube locks are available in three different types: -Metal Tube Locks Tube locks are used in Standard Silicone and Medical Grade Silicone, when there is an intersecting vent or if tube pulls out easily. Additional NotesAfter inserting tube and placing tube into the proper direction, allow enough of the bend from the tubing left out to comfortably lay over the tragal flap without causing pressure on the mold or the tragal flap. It is very important that the proper glue or cement is used. When replacing a tube, always use the same size tubing as the original. Following the basic rule-of-thumb, about gauging tubing to hearing loss, will eliminate poor replacement tubing efforts. |
